Our story

In 2017, Torsten Schultze and Uli Altvater collaborated on an amateur radio project. During their conversations and experiments, they discovered a new type of modulation with properties that appeared to defy the conventional rules of physics. They decided to raise funds for further research and development.

By 2022, they had built a demonstration system capable of transporting video and audio over a distance of 5 km. Currently, the company is working on multi-carrier implementations and AI-based radios.

During a nearly 40 year career in intellectual property licensing, litigation, strategy, M&A, and patent portfolio creation and management, Lou has served as General Counsel & EVP of Qualcomm, Chief Legal Officer & SVP of Globalfoundries, and partner at Cooley LLP, the leading emerging companies law firm.

Rob Gilmore

Chief Technology Officer

Rob has 30+ years of experience in engineering and communication systems design. He was Senior VP of Hardware Engineering at Qualcomm and Senior VP of Engineering at Nextwave. He started at Bell Labs in Satellite Research, is an IEEE Fellow, and holds 25+ US patents.

Chief Technical Compliance Officer

GEN (Ret) Keith Alexander, a four-star general who led the NSA and established U.S. Cyber Command, is a board member at Amazon and Chairman of VigilantSec and CyberNinja, recognized for his contributions to national security and cybersecurity.

Kevin Zimmer

Chief Legal Officer

Kevin has over 30 years of experience in patent law including trade secrets and IP. He spent over 20 years serving at Cooley LLP as General Counsel and Partner.

Uli Altvater

Co-Founder and Board Member

Uli has over 40 years of engineering, manufacturing and management experience in the telecommunications and IT industry. He has designed and developed Wireless Metropolitan Areas Networks (MAN) solutions through his career.

Board Member

Alvie has over 30 years of telecommunications and network experience. His extensive experience includes engineering roles at Cisco Systems, Charter Fiber Optics, CLEC Birch Telecom, and several startups.

Paul Southam is a distinguished serial entrepreneur with an impressive track record of founding and growing six companies, each generating over $100 million in revenue.

Bob Chastain

Board Member

Bob is a seasoned executive with 30+ years in the Cable TV and Satellite industry. He was CEO of PerfectVision from 2006 to 2020 and previously held leadership roles at Apex Digital LLC and Crystal Clear Satellite, supporting DIRECTV sales.

Gary Ervin

Board Member

Gary has over 40 years of experience in all phases of the telecommunications industry. He started Ervin Cable Construction with 3 brothers in 1980 which still operates in 32 states serving customers such as Google Fiber, Comcast, Charter and Verizon.
